Wedding Day

Wedding Day is an EP of six songs written by Marla Hansen. Although she does sing and play guitar throughout the entire recording, she is not quite ready to trade her viola for a guitar, and many of the songs feature her plucked viola as the primary instrument. Wedding Day runs the gamut from soft, spacious, folksy songs to upbeat, quirky pop. Marla Hansens honey-sweet voice weaves multiple instrumentations, background vocals, and hand percussion together to give listeners the feeling they are in the room with her and her band. Guests include Sufjan Stevens and members of Inlets, My Brightest Diamond, Antony & The Johnsons, and Locksley.
