2004, Amish
The second full-length album from Tower Recordings founding member and new folk favorite, Pat Gubler, under the PG Six moniker. Continuing the themes introduced on his "Parlor Tricks and Porch Favorites debut," Gubler makes nods toward 1960s folk artists like Bert Jansch, Pentangle, Incredible String Band, and John Fahey, while also fitting in with contemporary artists like Devendra Banhart, Alasdair Roberts, and Six Organs of Admittance's Ben Chasny. Abstract, dreamlike, and transcendent.
