2008, Knw-Yr-Own
With their sixth proper release, d+ continues further down their path of minimalism. Each record strips bare another layer of Bret Lunsford's musings on the world in which we live. What Is Doubt For is perhaps the barest and darkest incarnation of D+ yet. Recorded mostly in Phil Elverum's living room, the songs were played into one microphone - on track - mono. What Is Doubt For lives up to its title and asks you to do the same.
