2007, Numero Group
The first ever compact disc issue of Catherine Howe's brilliant debut album. Produced by legendary jazz pianist Bobby Scott, the album is a pastoral blend of English countryside folk and London orchestral pop, not unlike Nick Drake's Bryter Layter or Bridget Saint John's Songs For a Gentle Man. Originally released on Reflection Records in 1970, the much sought after album disappeared after only a few months in the racks. Lovingly restored by The Numero Group (the label that Paste magazine calls 'America's finest music archivists'), the original 12 song album has been fully re-mastered, includes bonus tracks, a thoroughly researched history of the album, and a tidy slip case tying it to the rest of the Numero library.
