When Everyone's Around

Featuring members of KISSING BOOK, LUCKSMITHS, SODASTREAM, and ARCHITECTURE IN HELSINKI. The idea came to Mark and Andrew one night during a Lucksmith's tour. It didn't become a reality until Andrew found himself in Melbourne on a 4-month visit. He was among a community of musicians that came together for tea breaks, late night adventures and writing and recording 8 songs. Initially thought to be a single with two of Andrew's songs it became a mini LP with Mark and Kelli offering up compositions of their own. Everyone sings and everyone wrote their own parts making it a truly collaborative effort. The songs have their somber melodies with heartfelt lyrics. The jangly guitar sounds and boy/girl vocals are carried along with snappy drumming and upright bass. With Sodastream playing Peel Sessions, The Lucksmiths on a world-wide tour, and Kissing Book having just finished recording their second album it seems unlikely that we will get all these people together in one place again any time soon. Though we will have When Everyone's Around to capture a moment in time.
