White Houses

Leaving Rouge's second release finds the band perfecting their spacious, textured narratives. Having become known as Detroit's finest purveyors of melodic songcraft, the "White Houses" EP shows them transforming from a studio project to a live band and reveals their maturation after touring and playing with the likes of The Appleseed Cast, The Constantines, Ted Leo, and Bardo Pond. The five songs here were selected from a 10-song recording session and compiled for their atmospheric and linear composition. A follow-up album later this year will collect Leaving Rouge's more "rock" material, as the material here finds them at their most chilling and powerful.
