Ex-Low bassist Zak Sally recorded a bunch of songs on his own and brought them to Ben Durrant's (Andrew Bird, Dosh, Shearwater) Crazy Beast studio to make a record. 'Fear Of Song' isn't elegant, literary, graceful, virtuosic, pastoral, clever or compositionally astounding; it's the sound of one man clanging.
