Wind it Up

VINYL FORMAT. Mark Pritchard's extensive pedigree includes names such as Harmonic 313, Global Communication, Reload, Jedi Knights and Link. Om'Mas Keith is a member of the Sa-Ra Creative Partners. Their collaboration on Wind it Up synthesizes some of Hyperdub's recent tricks into a bubbling compound of Mark's pressurized electrofunk, and the futuristic, off-beat synth-hop shuffle of Om'Mas, with some gravel-voiced lyrics. Add in the "Freak Mix," which harkens Goblin and John Carpenter's tingling synthetic atmospherics, plus an instrumental rub, and the results are huge.
