2011, FDH
VINYL FORMAT. Nobody can say that Jay Reatard was not a hard working musician. Before he passed at the age of 29 he had released 18 LPs and a slew of singles, demos, and tracks on compilations. Between the years 2002 and 2006, played in Lost Sounds, Angry Angels, Nervous Patterns, Destruction Unit, Final Solutions, and began his solo career. In addition to all of this Jay along with two friends (Aaron and Jackson) recorded a bunch of songs Jay had written but didn't see fit for his other projects under the name Terror Visions. These songs were raw harsh electro-punk songs that took aspects of bands like Lost Sounds and Destruction Unit but added the anger of a much younger Jay that we saw in the Reatards. Jay's own label Shattered Records released the first eight tracks from the band as a CDR titled Endless Tunnel in 2005. In 2007 FDH Records re-released these eight tracks plus six more as the World of Shit album. This album was released as a picture disc LP limited to 1,000 copies as well as a CD version with two extra tracks. The two bonus tracks later that year saw their vinyl debut on Disordered Records as the "Blood in America" 7". This newly expanded release of World of Shit collects all of the tracks mentioned above as well as the two previously unreleased tracks (one original and a Brian Eno cover). The album has been remastered and is on 180-gram vinyl along with a gatefold LP cover.
