| I've been listening to this album a lot recently. In my humble opinion, it is really really good - perhaps even ''year end top ten list'' good. There are plenty of rocking anthems - but don't be fooled, there is some level of complexity to the song structures. While Karen O's boyfriend(?), Angus and the rest of the Liars are moving further away from traditional pop sensibilities - Karen O and crew seem to be polishing their sound somewhat to give it that still-have-indie-cred-despite-the-fact-that-the-video-was-played-once-at-2:00-am-on-MTV sound. Like I said, it is really good stuff. | |
