You Don't Need Darkness To Do What Is Right is the first compilation from the Scottish-based Domino imprint Geographic, headed by The Pastels' Stephen McRobbie. It's a stunning collection of tracks from major underground artists such as The Pastels, Kevin Shields (of early '90s godz My Bloody Valentine), newer treats such as Sister Vanilla (featuring the Jesus and Marychain's Reid brothers) and Japanese naive-folkists Maher Shalal Hash Baz.
