The debut release under the Thieves banner from Greg Reynaud (At the Drive-In, Lovetron, Town Drunks). A unique organic/digital stew brewed from a free flowing blend of IDM, avant-garde, dub, noise, downtempo, free jazz, and psychedelia flavors.
"This downtempo mini-epic is the tale of a once great republic, fallen during an avoidable, yet unwinnable war, fought against its own populous and a majority of the world's citizens. Our story begins with the end, as a corrupt, unfit, and ultra-violent dictator ascends to become the head of state with assistance from his power hungry family and the most vile of the wealthy elite, through a bloodless coup de tat later legitimzed through the state's legal apparatus. Hiding in the dense and heavy fog of fear, dissillusionment, and propaganda, the populous begin to convene amongst the ruins of their once great nation, and discuss the removal of their unelected leader and his evil cadre. Word of these great, clandetine meetings spread quickly through the halls of power in the seized republic, but despite any intervention to the contrary the formation of a worldwide coalition was inevitable, and swift. The convergence of worldwide intellect allowed newly formed coalition to remove the faux prince from power as quickly as he had ascended into it, and much in the same manner... without spilling a single drop of blood."
