You'd think the Sunburned bunch would be inclined to clean up their act a bit on these more "legit" releases, but fuck no man... they're as dirty and uncompromising as always. Z is an excursion into heavy psych territory of the most self-destructive kind. Tons of atonal slabs of feedback, distortion, and out-of-control noise and percussion with a bizarre retro vibe (when ever a melody kicks in - and they're quite scarce here) is the blueprint for this sneak peak into the minds of these madmen.
