Customer Reviews

Jamie BunkerAnyone who wants to believe that this is the same Smashing Pumpkins that you cherished during the Gish to MCIS era is doing nothing but trying to kid yourselves. I am not sure if it is the lack of D'Arcy or James or what but this is not your old school Pumpkins.
The production is jacked up again and Billy's vocals are too high in the mix. The songs are fairly straight forward and lack the complexity of the SD era tracks. The lyrics are also laughable. I really cannot see Zeitgeist getting a ton of airplay or becoming the best rock album of the year (either in the mainstream or indie circles).
If you are craving an SP fix and have all of the regular albums, you are better off hunting down Bsides and unreleased material from their coveted era. Zeitgeist is a waste of time and money.
