Pretty certain this is some sort of mind probing sex-altering device that has humanoid cyborg shape shifting capabilities. Gimme.

Only selection in the list I’m going to get a little emotional about. In fact, emotional range is probably the identifiable characteristic of this monster of an album. At some points breathing a still seemingly ever present doom, at others containing a hope for the salvation of all that is worthy of salvation. Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson have created something beyond a droning, seeping, mind collapsing, and intellectually concise summation of their musical experience thus far, at least for me personally. At risk of invoking too much sentiment I would say that “Monoliths & Dimensions” at the very least gave me hope that true emotional attachment still can occur in regards to a piece of music. A poet once told me that sentiment is unearned emotion, but in this case Sunn O))) have absolutely earned it.
Can’t even imagine how deep the 180-gram vinyl version of this will shake my bones.

A fully realized compilation of the defunct 12 cd-r Jewelled Antler Collection. 12 Artists. Ranging from the organic tapestries of Fursaxa to the late night warehouse guitar echoes of Thuja to the sun drenched moon lit collages of Kemialliset Ystavat. Its pretty much all there. So much drool.

Right before I moved to New York my father decided to give me a copy of the bible. I would have much rather him given me this.
