With boxsets, artists and labels get to go to extremes with design and packaging, and the following items don't disappoint. Dust-to-Digital, who released Goodbye, Babylon (pictured), haven't put out anything less than stunning, while others find the boxset medium ripe for career summaries (see The Beatles, Neil Young, The Beach Boys, etc.), packaging extravagances (um, the giant wooden Opeth box; Severed Heads), or limited collections (Jewelled Antler; Happy Happy Birthday to Me). There will always be people content to download an album online, put it on their hard drive, and listen to it once or twice, but if you actually like music, and would like to counter the prevailing notion that physical music is dying, consider something on this list!
