2003 Thoughts:

2003 was definitely one of the most turbulent, exciting, frustrating, amazing, and unpredictable years of my life. It was my first real year in NY and my presence around the Tigerstyle / Insound.com office was felt.

In early 2003, I turned in the AmAnSet's 5th album, "Promise Of Love” and side A of "Promise" remains my favorite side of an AmAnSet record.

I spent much of 2003 at Columbia working hard on a PhD, though I left that summer to tour with the AmAnSet.

We spent the fall in the states. There was touring, writing, traveling, recording, and planning. It was tough, but it made a believer out of me.

I spent much of that winter in Texas. Recording was slow going. We had a major European tour fall through and NY living proved expensive for the unemployed. In 2003 I wore out the soles in my shoes... the ones I would spend the next 5 years challenging the rest of the world to walk a mile in.

At year’s end, the sun set on Tigerstyle Records. I got the call from Ari and Mike when I was in Texas. I was sad for my friends.
