Souls She Said is a side project of Joe Cardamone and Don Devore of Icarus Line and Ink and Dagger fame, respectively. This is an angular, more garage infused trip than either of their previous bands. Im definately in to the Fender-esque tones and left of center playing Devore drops and Joe's vocals shine a bit brighter here than on the Icky Line's releases. He should sing more often. I'll probably catch a shit lot of crap for saying this, but damned if the track called "Spanish Eyes" doesn't have a bit of a danceable bounce to it. Its almost Strokes like, but in a good way. Hey, I liked the Strokes when I first heard 'em and this record is having a similar breath of fresh air effect on me the more I listen. Hopefully, this wont be a one off deal.
