Chromatics
Seattle's Chromatics were originally a quartet featuring vocalist Adam Miller, drummer Hannah Blilie, guitarist Devin Welch, and bassist Michelle Nolan. That lineup debuted in 2002 with a Calvin Johnson-produced 7" on Gold Standard Laboratories -- a split with Die Monitr Batss -- and followed with the similarly GSL-issued Chrome Rats vs. Basement Rulz LP. VINYL FORMAT. At the start of the year, Chromatics wowed us with ethereal new vocalist Ruth on "In The City." Now we have the longer, sexier and obviously therefore better 12" version where the sinister strings take us on a journey further down the concrete river to deserted, shadowy and rain soaked citadels.
