Recommended. The New Year is Matt and Bubba Kadane, formerly of Bedhead, and this record continues the brothers' evolution as songwriters. The delicate and intricate guitar work still plays an integral part, but these songs are more concise, more experimental rhythmically, and deliberately more immediate. Beauty has never left you this off balance.
