This album's bedroom folk vibe is catchy from the first song on, where something sounds familiar at the same time you realize the Simpsons theme song swaggeringly plucked on a guitar in a song about art school lovers. "A-ha!", you go, "But who is Connie Acher?" We don't know, but she's worth checking out if heavenly acoustic moody folk music gets you going. Fits into the school of singing that Cat Power & Anna Padgett of the Naysayer define, where everything seems basic & fresh again, yet familiar
