The Brooklyn-based lo-fi Flying create songs from a junkyard of instrumentation -- including broken pianos and old accordions -- which is balanced by fragile vocals. Coinciding with the unconventional songwriting, visual artist Sara Magenheimer met Eliot Krimsky when she was building a two-headed dog from snow and met Eben Portnoy just after he was injured in a bike accident. Flying is a collective of four artists translating magic words and mysterious noises into chaotically sweet and ardent performances.
