The band's early lineup also included drummer Conrad Doucette, bassist J.P. Jones (replaced by Grady Jurrens in 2006), and guitarist Damion Jurrens (replaced by Rene Planchon and Drew Thurlow in July 2007). After recording the debut album We Feel Safer at Night in the band's native Brooklyn, Takka Takka spent the la...[more]

An eclectic, jubilant set of songs that has already gained strong acclaim from the press & their peers. A set of matchless pop tunes that acknowledge Gotham inspirations like Lou Reed, Bob Dylan & Philip Glass while also owing a debt to 90's luminaries including GBV & Pavement. The band spent '06 and early '07 touring with Clap Your Hand Say Yeah and Architecture In Helsinki. EJRC version includes three-track Talk Faster EP with the self-released reissue.
