Looper was the electronic-inspired side project of Belle and Sebastian bassist Stuart David; after debuting in mid-1998 with the Sub Pop single "Impossible Things," the full-length Up a Tree followed in March of 1999. Upon completing work on Belle and Sebastian's Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like a Peasant album, David left the group to focus on Looper full time, touring with the Flaming Lips prior to releasing The Geometrid in the spring of 2000. Looper's highly anticipated third album, The Snare, is another truly original work with a unique sound that combines the feel of mysterious film soundtracks with contemporary R&B and hip-hop style beats, much darker in tone than previous releases. Looper is the project of former Belle & Sebastian member Stuart David. The Snare is based around Stuart David's recent book, The Peacock Manifesto.

Looper returns with The Geometrid, another collection of Stuart David's homespun electronic pop.
