The Baptist Generals of Denton Texas are purveyors of some of the scariest acoustic guitar mangling you're likely to hear. Main General Chris Flemmons has an unhinged wail that rivals Roky Erickson. This release is a four-song single containing one track ("Going Back Song") from their forthcoming (Feb. '03) album No Silver/No Gold and three unreleased recordings. The Baptist Generals will be on tour Nov. 1-15 with the Mountain Goats and John Vanderslice.
