Boxstep are an eight-piece ensemble from Pittsburgh that takes their musical cues from bands like Godspeed, The Dirty Three, and Calexico. There's a distinct cinematic quality to their songs, though by having a singer (and great lyricist) they avoid being just another instrumental band. A nice, quaint, beautiful record.
