Papercuts is part of the emerging San Francisco indie-singer/songwriter scene that produced the critically acclaimed Cass McCombs and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. The band is the brainchild of Jason Quever, who engineered and produced Cass' first two releases. This is Papercuts' first formal release and it is a collection of beautifully orchestrated lo-fi chamber pop with glimmers of Americana, bringing to mind the best of Smile-era Beach Boys, Beachwood Sparks, and Elliot Smith.
