Grandpaboy is a pseudonym of former Replacements guitarist Paul Westerberg, who began a solo career as a singer-songwriter in the early 1990s on Sire/Reprise but split with the label in early 1997. That same year he released a five-song EP and an eponymous full-length as "Grandpaboy" via the Boston indie label Monolyth/Soundproof.
