This is the third solo album by ex-Pavement drummer Steve West. After attending high school with future Pavement bandmate Bob Nastanovich, he later relocated to New York City and worked as a Whitney Museum security guard alongside another future Pavement collaborator, frontman Stephen Malkmus.
