Who's the Hottie continues in Mount Shasta's role as a solid (if rather monochromatic) band. Coming at the listener like a musical cyclone, Shakuhachi Surprise manages to attack with repeated guitar riffs that wear you down mentally. Some of the music creates a video game soundtrack, where the pace and the screams conjure up thoughts of monsters riding supercharged mopeds ("Shacho").
