Entirely home-recorded, Ames Room gathers together material created between Autumn 2004 and Summer 2007. Even though many of the pieces on Silje Nes' debut album feature prominent melodies delivered in her wispy, winsome sing-song voice, it seems somehow imprecise to think to them as "songs" in the conventional sense.
