VINYL FORMAT. This is a promo copy, cut on the bottom left-hand corner. In an infamous anti-industry move, Tom Petty used his newly-minted status as a rock star to demand that this release be sold as cheaply as possible, blocking his record company from pulling the standard "charge-more-for-A-List-acts" manuever. Politics aside, Hard Promises is an excellent record in the vein of it's predecessor Damn the Torpedoes. Great melodies and superb songwriting.
