VINYL FORMAT. Yo La Tengo's eighth album was the one that dragged them away from the underground and gave them a much higher profile. Leaving behind some of their previous Velvet Underground fixations, there was more moodiness and dizzying harmonies to this release. Yo La Tengo's albums since have all being quite wonderful but none have yet touched the majesty of this, by far their most complete work.
