The title Project Success is only halfway sarcastic. Coming after the sprawling and intensely odd Flan, this is Dogbowl at his most "normal," with only one song, the Half Japanese-like "Going Out On A Date (With A Girl That You Like)" being particularly odd. The rest of the album is more like simple, cheerful, quirkiness, almost along the lines of They Might Be Giants or the Young Fresh Fellows, and some songs are actually utterly straight.
