Although it runs 23 tracks and contains such classics as "What in the World's Come Over You" and "Burning Bridges," Collectables' The Very Best of Jack Scott is not a definitive overview of his career, since it lacks such classics as "The Way I Walk" and "Leroy." The music on Scott on Groove was recorded after Jack Scott's hit-making era on Capitol was finished. Scott recorded for Groove in the early '60s. During this time, he was trying to refashion his sound into a rock & roll/rockabilly direction.
