Manic Expressive (CD)
her space holiday is the brainchild of Audio Information Phenomena label owner Marc Bianchi. Since 1996, Marc has been writing and recording music under the alias of her space holiday and has released a substantial body of work. His latest work, "Manic Expressive" demonstrates just how far Marc has been able to take his unique style of bedroom electro/pop from the early days of hsh.
Over a year in the making, "Manic
Expressive" is richer in electronic soundscapes and orchestral arrangements than any previous HSH release. The album is able to adeptly combine soothing vocal deliveries with
experimental IDM, drum 'n bass and ambient electronica in a way that very few artists have been able to accomplish. If you enjoy the futuristic pop sounds of Radiohead and Air, then
you'll certainly enjoy her space holiday's latest offering.
Interesting tidbit: Marc Bianchi also played in seminal hardcore bands Mohinder, Calm and Indian Summer.
"A Ferment of Elliott Smith, Spiritualized and Super Furry Animals, it's perfect music for those times when you really need a day off from yourself."

| I love California. I love finding music from California that I like because it exacerbates my love for the scenic sunshiney state even more. San Mateo?s Marc Bianchi is Her Space Holiday, a solo project that is equally as geeky and good as it is poppy and softly electro.
A progression from HSH?s previous effort, Home is Where You Hang Yourself, this record is more sonically developed?more instruments, more sounds, more layers, more vocals and more beats. This may remind you a little of Icu and Looper, but the sound on Manic Expressive is less IDM and more ambient.
Track 3, "The Ringing in My Ears," makes me smile and think everything?s gonna be all right. Put it on for a little satisfaction. You?ll like it too.
Another easy-listening pop rock concoction from your friends at Tigerstyle that?s a good soundtrack for chillin.? MB
