Exactly one year from the original Horn of Plenty release, it will be re-released with a bonus full-length remix disc featuring remixes by some of the hottest underground talent today: Ariel Pink, The Soft Pink Truth (Drew Daniel of Matmos), Dntel (Jimmy Tamborello of Postal Service), Castanets, Solex, Alpha, Efterklang, Final Fantasy (Owen Pallet of the Arcade Fire), Safety Scissors, the Bomarr Monk (Anticon), Rusty Santos (Animal Collective producer), Dr. Cuerpo of The Double and more.

Once the idea was planted for remixes, Grizzly Bear used the Internet and even MySpace.com to make contact. Grizzly Bear was thrilled to receive an overwhelming response and in the end, an 85 percent delivery rate. The impressive list of remixers, generally willing to contribute for free, signed on due to their love of the band's music. Drew Daniel said, "I prefer to do remixes when I think there's some kind of interesting tension between my way of working and the song being remixed, and I only remix music I like: so this was hand in glove."
