Here, It Never Snowed. Afterwards It Did (CD)
IMPORT. A mini-album comprising several re-worked tracks from The Twilight Sad's debut album, Fourteen Albums & Fifteen Winters, as well the heretofore-unheard title track and a cover of Daniel Johnston's classic "Some Things Last A Long Time." The stripped-back instrumentation on Here, It Never Snowed allows the songs to speak for themselves, taking on a folk-tinged darkness - volume replaced by space and reverb, with chord organ, glockenspiel and minimalist percussion replacing the wall of guitars behind James Graham's Glaswegian burr.
