It's Blitz is the third full-length from garage-rock/power-pop trio the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. It was produced by Nick Launay (who oversaw the band's 2007 EP Is Is) and TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek. YYY's billowing cloud of avant-rock is invaded by a clutch of disco synths, adding new areas of tempo, personality, and atmosphere to the already-transcendent trio. Guitarist Nick Zinner steers the course with imaginative guitar work, drummer Brian Chase probably hasn't had this much fun drumming on a record before, and Karen O wraps herself in electrical-taped chiffon for the disco drag-outs "Zero," "Heads Will Roll," and "Dragon Queen."
