No strangers to Jade Tree, ZERO ZERO features three members of the famed LIFETIME among it's ranks: Ari Katz (Vocals), Dave Idea (Guitar), and Scott Golley (Drums). In addition, the band boasts the talents of local legend and ex-STICKS & STONES ax-man Johnny X (Guitar), the solid proficient backbone of John Chladnicek (Bass) and the ingenious Miss TK (Organ, Vocals). Recorded at ZERO ZERO's NJ practice space/studio in North Brunswick, NJ and mixed and produced by the mighty DFA team of James Murphy (TRANS AM, TURING MACHINE, JUNE OF 44, LES SAVY FAV) and Tim Goldsworthy (UNKLE, RADIOHEAD, BECK, AERIAL M) at their Plantain Studios compound deep inside New York City. Only the virtual whirlwind of musical aptitude that is ZERO ZERO could breed the intensely stimulating, dance floor calling, hip-swinging amalgamation of punk rock 'n soul that ZERO ZERO calls it's own. In their own way, ZERO ZERO owes their heritage to everyone from ELVIS COSTELLO, THE CLASH, STEREOLAB, and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN to early UK Jungle (ALEX REECE, WAX DOCTOR), MY BLOODY VALENTINE, Japenese Pop (LOSFIELD), and Detroit Techno (RUSS GABRIEL), taking vivid passionate songwriting and equally earnest musicianship to create a most entertaining concoction. ZERO ZERO has been playing shows with JETS TO BRAZIL, BOUNCING SOULS, PEDRO THE LION, DALEK, THE EXPLOSION, GREY AREA, and THE PROMISE RING and will continue playing in and around the Northeast.
