Jade Tree kicks off its new split CD EP series by pairing two of today's most distinguished ambassadors of east and west coast hardcore punk, GOOD RIDDANCE and KILL YOUR IDOLS. California's GOOD RIDDANCE has spent a decade perfecting their blend of traditional melodic punk and hardcore fury. Known as Fat Wreck Chords' hardest working band, they have a trademark sound which channels astute political and personal observations through rousing sing-along anthems. Their 4-song contribution showcases their rarely heard harder edged side. New York City's KILL YOUR IDOLS provide 3 songs that carry on their tradition of blazing hardcore while simultaneously showing an expanded penchant for melody. Currently turning heads as the newest addition to the Side One Dummy roster, they defy expectation by adding a mature sensitivity to their bare bones thrash assault. Both bands contributions to this EP are new and exclusive tracks that will not be available anywhere else and are crucial additions to the collection of any punk enthusiast.
