Music Hall - Cruise Control 2.0
My time at Insound has helped me put together a pretty banging audio setup and I’m really happy with what I have at the moment, but it also came with the curse of giving me the taste of high end audio equipment. The other day I found myself in a position that I didn’t think I would have wound up in a couple of years back. I downloaded some app on my phone that tested the speed of my turntable and even despite owning an “audiophile” turntable I noticed that it was running a little fast. Now by fast, it’s more like being off 33.3 by one or two tenths places and definitely not noticeable at all. But now I know, and knowing this honestly should not have affected me in any way but it set off the inner audio nerd in me and I was off on a mission to fix this. This is where the Cruise Control comes into effect. The Cruise Control uses some wizardly technology that keeps your turntable running at a constant 33.3 or 45 RPM without any interruptions with a flip of a switch. As an added bonus to all the Pro-Ject turntable owners out there this also means you don’t have the hassle of pulling off your platter and messing with the belt to change speeds. So if you find yourself struggling with these same first world problems I have, you know exactly what you have to do.
