Savages - Silence Yourself

Savages are an all-female post-punk band from London. Despite having their first live show merely 15 months ago, their intense performances have already earned them a lot of buzz. They openly boast their music is meant to be heard live, and just to prove their disdain for recorded material, they recently released a live EP. The music is heavy on bass lines and unveiled feminine angst, but it’s definitely a sound that is completely distinct from Riot Grrrl attitude of the mid-1990s. Much like those contemporaries, they bluntly explore controversial topics like domestic violence, but they do it with much more impressive and tight musicianship. The first pressing of the record comes on limited edition clear vinyl.
