Chicago band OlO's 3rd release finds itself pulling away from the parlor jazz feel of their last full length. The early Floyd, Yes, MBV, etc roots have reared their heads to face the previous lounge/jazz/postrock (a'la Stereolab meets electric Miles) sounds resulting in more Rock added to the Roll. Alternating between laid back grooves, dense walls of heavily textured poly-rhythems, and epic instrumental anthems (with occassional whispery vocals)... there's a lot of ground covered in this 4 song, 30+ minute EP... Oh, just buy it!
